A New Yorker by upbringing, I gained an appreciation for travel while in college. Growing up, my dad was a big history buff, and our travels took us – by car – to Washington DC, Philadelphia, Gettysburg, and anyplace – as my brothers and I joked – where there were little old ladies dipping candles.
My first time on an airplane was after a friend of mine from junior high school moved to Flagstaff, Arizona. While I took a bus by myself between NY and Phoenix (I wanted to see what was in between), I flew back home.
Then, while a senior in college in Boston, I did a study abroad program just outside of London, in a small area called Hampstead. While there, I traveled with some friends to France, Spain, and Germany, then with my parents to Scotland and Ireland.
After graduation and getting married, there were occasional trips to Europe. My professional career, however, gave me an opportunity to travel fairly extensively, and now it’s one of the things I enjoy the most. I’ve been to all seven continents and want to continue to explore. These pages capture some of those experiences. I’m lucky enough that my wife supports my going off to these places – even the ones she doesn’t want to go to.
I usually post pictures and commentary to Facebook and Instagram, but not everyone is on those sites. One of my brothers suggested my having an additional way to share, so this is where I landed.
When I’m on the road, I’ll sometimes post something each day or sometimes I’ll wait a few days. And there may be a long stretch of silence about travel until the next adventure comes along.

Here’s hoping you enjoy what’s here. Feel free to comments, send me q’s, or to connect with me on Instagram and/or Twitter too.
